Lava Caving trip in the Þingvellir area

The Underworld tour will reveal to you the hidden world of Þingvellir national park. We will descend through a lava cave in to a lava field created in an ancient volcanic eruption. Inside we will discover the marvels that the volcanic activity created and get to closer to the core of Iceland finding out how it came to be. The Gjábakkahellir cave is a perfect example of an Icelandic lava tube and is situated in Þingvellir, Iceland´s most historic site. We will climb (just a little) and walk on our travels beneath the lava field.
The UnderWorld is a really cool trip for those that are not afraid of the dark and want to experience something totally out of the ordinary!

Bring with you: Warm outdoor clothing, waterproof jacket and pants. Good hiking boots are recommended but not vital! ( Hiking boots can be rented on the tour , please note that in COMMENTS and shoe size.) (Hiking boots rental is 1000isk)
We will provide for you: headlight and a helmet. Includes: Hot chocolate. No knowledge of the sport required.
