The South Coast and Mýrdalsjökull glacier - AT02

28.500,-
This one-day tour takes us via the greenhouse town of Hveragerði to the Atlantic Ocean and vast panoramic views of the ever-changing glacier flood plains which merge with the dramatic black beaches. We then drive inland to two waterfalls, the graceful Seljalandsfoss, where the sure-footed can walk behind the cascade, and impressive Skógarfoss. Skógarfoss carries water from two powerful glaciers, Eyjafjallajökull and Mýrdalsjökull which dominate the slopes of the active volcano Mount Katla.

Weather and volcanic conditions permitting, you will have the opportunity to experience snowmobiling, dog-sledding, a guided glacial hike or riding Icelandic horses. These activities are not included in the tour price. Return to Reykjavik in time for dinner. Depending on the season and weather there is every chance you will see either the Midnight Sun or the Northern Lights
