Icelands Highest Waterfall, Glymur, Þingvellir National Park and the Nesjavellir Hot Springs
The tour starts by a drive along the Hvalfjörður, the “whale” fjord, before setting out on a 3 hrs walk a spectacular route to Icelands highest waterfall, Glymur 198m (650 feet). From here we drive to Þingvellir National Park and a World Heritage Site, where we hike for 1 hour on the old Assembly grounds before taking a scenic drive along Lake Þingvallavatn to get to the Nesjavellir geothermal area.
A one hour walk here allows you time to explore the magnificent boiling mud pools, solfatars (or fumaroles that emit sulphurous gases) and hot springs. There is magnificent nature and scenery here waiting for your discovery.
Minimum Age : 12 yrs.
Included : Transport and guiding services.
Excluded : Bring warm clothing, rain gear, hiking shoes and lunch. We lend rain coats to those in need.
Duration : 9 - 10 hours in total, 5 hours hiking.
Pick up at hotels and guesthouses 30 minutes prior to departure.
