Black beach and blue ice - ART

37.900,-
With our cars filled up and our expectations high we shift our automatic gearbox in the drive position and leave with a gentle turn the Arctic Trucks Base Camp. Direction is east as we are heading for the majestic southern mountain range around the Myrdalsjökull. Enjoying the sound system we gently cruise along places like Sellfoss and Hella before getting a first glimpse of the glacier ice that covers one of the active volcanoes of Iceland, Katla. We make a stop at the Seljalandfoss and continue to a mountain track that leads up to a hut from where it is possible to go for a snowmobile ride. The view from here over the lowlands and the Atlantic Ocean is impressive. After driving down to sea level we will do some technical driving on the black sandy beaches of the south coast. A short cooling down stop at the Skogafoss waterfall completes this day. Instead of the snowmobile trip we can offer a complimentary walk on the ice of the Sólheimajökull.
